When I Walked Out Of Prison, That Was My Mission, To Liberate The Oppressed And The Oppressor Both.

Sports Have The Power To Change The World. It Has The Power To Inspire, The Power To Unite People In A Way That Little Else Does. It Speaks To Youth In A Language They Understand. Sports Can Create Hope, Where There Was Once Only Despair. It Is More Powerful Than Governments In Breaking Down Racial Barriers. It Laughs In The Face Of All Types Of Discrimination. Sports Is The Game Of Lovers.

Aids Today In Africa Is Claiming More Lives Than The Sum Total Of All Wars, Famines And Floods And The Ravages Of Such Deadly Diseases As Malaria ... We Must Act Now For The Sake Of The World.

I Knew We Could Improve Our Lives Even In Jail. We Could Come Out As Different Men, And We Could Even Come Out With Two Degrees. Educating Ourselves Was A Way To Give Ourselves The Most Powerful Weapon For Freedom.
