God Never Fits His Word To Suit

God Is Not Concerned About Our Plans; He Doesn’t Ask, “do You Want To Go Through This Loss Of A Loved One, This Difficulty, Or This Defeat?” No, He Allows These Things For His Own Purpose. The Things We Are Going Through Are Either Making Us Sweeter, Better, And Nobler Men And Women, Or They Are Making Us More Critical And Fault-finding, And More Insistent On Our Own Way. The Things That Happen Either Make Us Evil, Or They Make Us More Saintly, Depending Entirely On Our Relationship With God And Its Level Of Intimacy.

God Gets Me Into A Relationship With Himself Whereby I Understand His Call, Then I Do Things Out Of Sheer Love For Him On My Own Account. To Serve God Is The Deliberate Love-gift Of A Nature That Has Heard The Call Of God.

So Long As There Is A Human Being Who Does Not Know Jesus Christ, I Am His Debtor To Serve Him Until He Does.

When You Are Insulted, You Must Not Only Not Resent It, But You Must Make It An Opportunity To Exhibit The Son Of God In Your Life. And You Cannot Imitate The Nature Of Jesus-it Is Either In You Or It Is Not. A Personal Insult Becomes An Opportunity For A Saint To Reveal The Incredible Sweetness Of The Lord Jesus.

The Characteristic Of A Disciple Is Not That He Does Good Things, But That He Is Good In His Motives, Having Been Made Good By The Supernatural Grace Of God.
