We Must Realize That No Arsenal Or No Weapon In Arsenals Of The World Is So Formidable As The Will And Moral Courage Of Free Men And Women. It Is A Weapon Our Adversaries In Today's World Do Not Have. It Is A Weapon That We As Americans Do Have. Let That Be Understood By Those Who Practice Terrorism And Prey Upon Their Neighbors. As For The Enemies Of Freedom, Those Who Are Potential Adversaries, They Will Be Reminded That Peace Is The Highest Aspiration Of The American People. We Will Negotiate For It, Sacrifice For It; We Will Not Surrender For It, Now Or Ever. We Are Americans.

My Philosophy And My Belief Was That There Was A Long Way For Us To Go In Improving What We Had Ever Known Before, That This Country Of Ours Was A Country Of Constant Improvement. And So I Thought That, Well, What My Whole Approach Was Based On The Promise Of A Better America.

For Three Decades, We Have Sought To Solve The Problems Of Unemployment Through Government Planning, And The More The Plans Fail, The More The Planners Plan.

Every New Day Begins With Possibilities.

Well, The Task I've Set Forth Will Long Outlive Our Own Generation. But Together, We Too Have Come Through The Worst. Let Us Now Begin A Major Effort To Secure The Best- A Crusade For Freedom That Will Engage The Faith And Fortitude Of The Next Generation. For The Sake Of Peace And Justice, Let Us Move Toward A World In Which All People Are At Last Free To Determine Their Own Destiny.
