That He Was An Unusually Open, Honest And No-nonsense Politician Did Not Make Him Unsuited For The Profession, Only Uncommon. In Uniform And In Politics Barry's Purpose Was Always The Defense Of Freedom. And Nobody Before Or Since Managed The Task More Ably Or More Colorfully Than Barry Goldwater.

The Question Is Not Whether You Would Like To Be President Or Not. The Question Is: Do You Think You Can Win And Do You Want To Run? And None Of Those Are Clear To Me.

Glory Belongs To The Act Of Being Constant To Something Greater Than Yourself, To A Cause, To Your Principles, To The People On Whom You Rely And Who Rely On You In Return.

I Intend To Do What I Can, Working With My Congressional Colleagues, Republicans And Democrats, To Help Bring About The Changes To The Practices And Institutions Of Our Democracy That They Want And Deserve.

Thousands Of Americans Have Given Their Lives In Afghanistan And Iraq Upholding Their Oaths And Defending This Nation. Chelsea Manning Broke Her Oath And Made It More Likely That Others Would Join The Ranks Of Her Fallen Comrades. Her Prison Sentence May End In A Few Months' [time], But Her Dishonor Will Last Forever.
