But The Progressive Conservative Is Very Definitely Liberal Republican. These Are People Who Are Moderately Conservative On Economic Matters, And In The Past Have Been Moderately Liberal, Even Sometimes Quite Liberal On Social Policy Matters.

We're Not Going To Scrap The Budget And Make Up Some Totally New Platform The Day After The Election. So It's Certainly Willingness To Compromise But We're Not Going Back On The Fundamental Things We're Running On In This Campaign.

Too Often In The Past, Our Armed Forces Have Returned To Canada From Their Trials With Little Fanfare. Not So Today. Canadians Across The Country Came Out In Force, United In Appreciation, To Honour The Bravery, Heroism, Strength And Sacrifice Of Those Who Fought For Freedom And Security In Afghanistan.

I Don't Get Into That Second Guessing Of Myself Publicly.

This Party Will Not Take Its Position Based On Public Opinion Polls. We Will Not Take A Stand Based On Focus Groups. We Will Not Take A Stand Based On Phone-in Shows Or Householder Surveys Or Any Other Vagaries Of Pubic Opinion.
