Yes, We've Cut The Maternal Mortality Rate In Half, But Far Too Many Women Are Still Denied Critical Access To Reproductive Health Care And Safe Childbirth, And Laws Don't Count For Much If They're Not Enforced. Rights Have To Exist In Practice - Not Just On Paper. Laws Have To Be Backed Up With Resources And Political Will. And Deep-seated Cultural Codes, Religious Beliefs And Structural Biases Have To Be Changed.

It Takes A Village To Raise A Child.

We Need To Make Equal Pay And Equal Opportunity For Women And Girls A Reality So Women's Rights Are Human Rights Once And For All.

I'm Not Going To Put My Lot In With Economists, Because I Know If We Get It Right, If We Actually Did It Right, If We Had A President Who Used All The Tools Of The Presidency, We Would Design It In Such A Way That It Would Be Implemented Effectively.
