I Think Katrina Is One More Indication Of How Inefficient And Corrupt This Administration Is, And Indicates The Absolute Lack Of Seriousness That [george W.] Bush Has In Making The Government Respond To The Needs Of The People. They Are So Separated From The Lives Of Normal, Low-income People That It Never Occurred To Them That If You're Poor And Have No Money, No Car, That You Can't Leave.

I Have A Lot Of Respect For President Obama. I Consider Him A Friend. I Disagree With Him On Issues Like The Extension Of Tax Breaks That Bush Initiated. But I Think History Will Judge A President Obama A Lot Better Than Many Other Contemporaries, Given The Fact That He Came Into Office At A Time When This Country Was In Terrible, Terrible Shape.

Real Change Never Occurs From The Top On Down, [but] Always From The Bottom On Up.

Politics Is Not About A Person. We Transform America Not By Electing Some Guy Or Woman To Be President; We Transform This Country When Millions Of People Stand Up And Fight Back. That Will Result In Good Leadership On Top. So The Goal Right Now Is Not To Worry About Who's Going To Be Running In 2020 Or 2080. The Goal Now Is To Mobilize Millions Of People Around A Progressive Agenda.

Bernie Sanders Did Not Wake Up Last Night With This Great Idea That We Should Guarantee Health Care To All People As A Right. Actually, It Exists In Every Other Major Country On Earth. You Don't Know That, Because The Media Has Forgotten To Tell You That. But It Does Exist. In Denmark, Because Of Union Negotiations, The Minimum Wage Is About $20 An Hour. In Germany, You Go To College Tuition-free. In Finland, They Actually Pay You To Go To College. Now, You Don't Know That In America Because Cbs Forgot To Tell You. But That Is The Reality.
