It Is Important To Me That Everybody Who Has Been Hurt Know That The Sorrow I Feel Is Genuine. First And Most Important, My Family, My Friends, My Staff, My Cabinet, Monica Lewinsky And Her Family And The American People. I Have Asked All For Their Forgiveness.

All America Loses When Any Person Is Denied Or Forced Out Of A Job Because Of Sexual Orientation. Being Gay, The Last Time I Thought About It, Seemed To Have Nothing To Do With The Ability To Read A Balance Book, Fix A Broken Bone, Or Change A Spark Plug.

We Have Seen A Man Dragged To Death In Texas Simply Because He Was Black. A Young Man Murdered In Wyoming Simply Because He Was Gay. In The Last Year Alone, We've Seen The Shootings Of African Americans, Asian Americans, And Jewish Children Simply Because Of Who They Were. This Is Not The American Way. We Must Draw The Line. Without Delay, We Must Pass The Hate Crimes Prevention Act And The Employment Non-discrimination Act. And We Should Reauthorize The Violence Against Women Act.

Education No Longer Stops On Graduation Day. We Must Demand Excellence At Every Level Of Education.

And I Have A Plan To Do Even Better, To End Welfare As We Know It
