When Someone Thinks That To Develop A Holy Life He Must Always Be Alone With God, He Is No Longer Of Any Use To Others.

What Hinders Me From Hearing Is That I Am Taken Up With Other Things. It Is Not That I Will Not Hear God, But I Am Not Devoted In The Right Place. I Am Devoted To Things, To Service, To Convictions, And God May Say What He Likes But I Do Not Hear Him.

One Of The Most Subtle Burdens God Ever Puts On Us As Saints Is This Burden Of Discernment Concerning Other Souls. He Reveals Things In Order That We May Take The Burden Of These Souls Before Him And Form The Mind Of Christ About Them. It Is Not That We Bring God Into Touch With Our Minds, But That We Rouse Ourselves Until God Is Able To Convey His Mind To Us About The One For Whom We Intercede.

Whenever The Conviction Of God's Spirit Comes There Is The Softening Of The Whole Nature To Obey; But If The Obedience Is Not Instant There Will Come A Metallic Hardening And A Corrupting Of The Guidance Of God.

We Pray When There's Nothing Else We Can Do; Jesus Wants Us To Pray Before We Do Anything At All.
