But Citizens Not In A Battlefield - However Despicable - Are Guaranteed A Trial By Our Constitution. No One Argues That Americans Who Commit Treason Shouldn't Be Punished. The Maximum Penalty For Treason Is Death. But The Constitution Specifies The Process Necessary To Convict.
